Eileen Arandiga, Festival Director, Worldwide Short Film Festival

Eileen Arandiga is the Festival Director of the Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto, a festival she has been associated with for over five years in various capacities. Eileen has previously worked for the Toronto International Film Festival – Industry Programming and Services, and various arts organizations in Australia. She has also run filmmaking workshops for young women in Toronto, has sat on festival juries and has programmed shorts for Signals Festival in the UK and the Australian Canadian Film Festival in Sydney, Australia. Eileen holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia.

Christopher Barry, SVP, Digital Media & Business Strategy, Sundance Channel

Christopher Barry is currently Senior Vice President, Digital Media and Business Strategy for the Sundance Channel. Christopher’s responsibilities include overseeing the Channel’s website, including content strategy, creative design and third-party partnerships, and extending the Channel’s content to mobile and electronic sell-through platforms. Christopher recently led the Channel’s digital activity on YouTube, Yahoo, iTunes and Second Life. Prior to joining the Sundance Channel in 2003, Christopher was a Vice President in Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking division (Media and Communications Corporate Finance Group).

Myro Fal, Senior Programmer, Digital Content, TELUS

Myro Fal is the Senior Programmer for the TELUS Digital Content team focusing on mobile content distribution since joining the company in 2006.  His portfolio includes development and execution of the video-on-demand strategy, partner-relations, selection and approval of content & promotion of entertainment-related programming on mobile phones.  A graduate of Ryerson University’s Radio & Television Arts program, his previous experience comes from working in film & television production industry for some of Canada’s largest entertainment producers and broadcasters, including Barna-Alper Productions, Alliance Atlantis and YTV.  

Sarah Galea-Davis, Award-Winning Writer/Director

Sarah Galea-Davis' credits include the short films My One & Only, Berlin, and Can You Wave Bye Bye?. They have screened at festivals internationally including Toronto International Film Festival and have broadcast on CBC and Bravo!. Recently Can You Wave Bye Bye? won the BravoFact! Award for best Canadian short Film at the Worldwide Short Film Festival.

Danny Lennon, Founder, Prends ca court!, Canada

Danny Lennon is the founder and director of the highly popular short film series, Prends ca court!, now in its eighth year. An internationally reputed programmer, he has been involved with over 20 Quebec based festivals and events. He is director for shorts at the Just For Laughs Festival and the FanTasia Festival in Montreal. He has also worked with more than 50 festivals in 24 countries, in addition to contributing to every known form of independent short film promotion, distribution, exhibition and production in Canada and around the world.

Scott Macaulay, Co-Founder and Editor, Filmmaker Magazine

Since 1992 Scott Macaulay has combined film production with journalism in a career devoted to the discovery and promotion of new independent filmmaking talent. He is a New York-based producer and co-president, with producing partner Robin O’Hara, of the production company Forensic Films, and he is also the Editor and co-founder of Filmmaker Magazine, the leading national quarterly covering the world of independent film. 

Ryan Redford, Filmmaker

Ryan Redford graduated from York University’s film program and completed an apprenticeship in directing through the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. His two most recent short films, “Song of Wreckage” and “Lake,” both premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and have been broadcast on CBC, Showcase, IFC Canada and France3. His feature script, “Bone,” received the Jim Burt Prize for best unproduced screenplay at the 2007 Writer’s Guild of Canada Awards.

Tim Redford, Director, Curtocircuito Short Film Festival & Market

Tim was born in the UK but lived in France most of his life where he gained experience working for Sauve Qui Peut le Court Métrage, the organizing association behind the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival until 2004. He then moved to London & Colchester in the UK where he worked as Project & Festival Manager for Signals Media Arts. Since 2007, Tim has been the director of Curtocircuito Short Film Festival & Market in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain.
